Elda Nórë ~ The Misty Realms ~ The Inner Lands
A place of peace, understanding, inspiration and creativity.
Entry into the lands of the Misty Realms is by one of the
Four Gateways—North, East, South and
West. Though all, save one, of the Keepers of the Gateways in
their bodily forms have traveled far from the Misty Realms, yet their spirits linger and bless
all who pass through the gates.
As it is written in Thy Book of Servants, the
Halls of Knowledge and Magic are at the center of the Misty Realms, and therein are many rooms
filled with wondrous things. Upon entering the Great Hall you are greeted by a large hallway
adorned with the decorative touch of the Elves. Five banners hang from the ceiling depicting
the four sacred gateways, and hanging between them is the silver-white banner for the Divine
Circle. Upon the walls are four pieces of parchment. On the left are the parchments which say
Fire and Earth, and on the right are the parchments which say Water and Air. Each member is
encouraged to place their names upon one of the four parchments according to the sacred
symbol given to them by their gateway. Once the user’s name is inscribed upon the parchment
their names are forever etched upon their gateway—thus becoming of its
protectors—and upon the spiritual soul of the Divine Circle.
After your name is inscribed, in your hands will appear four sacred books
(Thy Book of Creation,
Thy Book of Servants,
Thy Book of Choice, and
Thy Book of Guardianship), two sacred
scrolls of parchment (Thy Covenant of Remembrance and a
Map of the Misty Realms), and two banners-one for your gateway and one for the
Divine Circle. Each book will guide you through the Misty Realms, but
Thy Book of Guardianship should always be
kept close at hand—for within it lie the sacred laws as laid down by the Divine Circle.
As the Divine Circle is the collective Spirit of all that lives and breathes, the High
Enchantress, the Keeper of the Hall of Records, and the Lord of the Underworld are the
Masters who watch over the safety and well-being of all
within the Misty Realms. Thus does the High Enchantress shed the beauty of light on all
within, as does the Lord of the Underworld shed the beauty of night on all within, and so
does the Keeper of the Hall of Records illuminate with knowledge the souls of all within. The
esteemed Servants of the Misty Realms are the Guild Heads
who undertake care of the Guilds, and the Guild Stewards
who attend to specialist areas of the Guilds. Such are the great Guilds: the Guild of Artists,
the Guild of Creativity, the Guild of Languages, the Guild of Musicians, the Guild of Writers,
and the Mythical Worlds Guild.
Thy Covenant of Remembrance - According to the
Pestilence Dragon
The Misty Realms continues to grow and prosper. With each day that passes, many creatures
migrate from the uninhabited realms—and the chaos that is Net—and pass through
the gateways into the lands of peace and order. So to thee I say, take heed and bear witness
to the truths that lie within, for they are
the last legacy of a dragon with too much time on his hands.
I am the Pestilence Dragon, and I have walked the lands of the Misty Realms. This covenant I
bring to you in the spirit of peace and continual growth. May the Misty Realms grow ever
stronger as we walk together among the fields and trees. This covenant is of equal importance
and it guides those who have been chosen to walk the path as guides and servants, as well as
those who come with the idea of creative expression.
