THe
Outer Lands festered upon its chaos, but the inner lands grew peaceful and serene. Then,
out of the chaos, there came to be two ladies standing just outside the Inner Lands; one
at the East gate and one at the West gate. The lady in the West passed through the
gateway into the Inner lands, thus gaining the knowledge of Emotion and the magic of
Water and Spirit. The second lady passed through the East gateway, thus gaining the
knowledge of Intuition and the magic of Fire and Spirit. Each lady, finding beauty,
life, and order in the Inner Lands, wandered the fields and forests. The lady in the
West found beauty and love in the plants and flowers, while the lady in the East found
beauty and love in all the animals. One day the lady of the East came upon two strange
animals. Each walked on four legs, and while one was covered with white fur, the other
was covered with black fur. She grew so fond of them, that she bound her spirit to
theirs. She then called them ‘Wolf’ and named them ‘Inspiration’ and ‘Divination’.
After she had named her two companions, they came upon the lady of the West. Instantly,
the two ladies became sisters. Together they named the Inner Lands the Misty Realms. The
Divine Circle, seeing that all was good, named the lady of the East ‘Sacred Spirit of
the Wolf’, and forevermore the lady was known as Namíra Rahin. Then the Divine Circle
named the lady of the West ‘Hope’ in the hopes that more new life would pass through the
gates into the Misty Realms. Forevermore, the lady of the West was known as Esperanza.
After Namíra and Esperanza were named, there came a man who passed through the gateway
in the North, gaining the knowledge of Intellect and the magic of Earth and Spirit. The
ladies traveled to the North to greet him and found him to be tall, strong, and
handsome. He fell into instant like with both ladies and deemed himself their protector.
Thus the Divine Circle named him the ‘Guardian of Life’ and forevermore he was known at
Theryn Shaw.
Thus it was proclaimed by the great Masters of the Misty Realms, Esperanza, Namíra, and
Theryn, that with the aid of the Divine Circle they would create halls within the Misty
Realms to bring knowledge and magic to any who passed through one of the four gateways.
Then the magic of Water, Fire, Earth, and Spirit worked together and created a grand
hall with many rooms, gardens, streams, and waterfalls. The Divine Circle named their
creation the ‘Halls of Knowledge and Magic’.
When the Halls of Knowledge and Magic were complete, each Master felt a stirring of the
Spirit within them. They all turned to the South and saw that another lady had passed
through the Southern gateway, gaining the knowledge of Sensation and the magic of Air
and Spirit. Seeing the sadness in the lady’s eyes, they welcomed her into their circle.
The Divine Circle named her ‘Seeker of the Hidden’. She was so overjoyed, that using the
magic of Air and Spirit she carved Thy Book of Creation onto each gateway so that each
creature who passes into the Misty Realms will not feel lost. Then she repeated her name
to Esperanza, Namíra, and Theryn, and asked that they give her a second name, as her
first name would become hidden in the wind to all but the first four humans of the
Divine Circle. Thus they named her ‘Daughter of the Divine’ and sent her forth to follow
the path of the wind through the Misty Realms and guide all new life from their gateway
of birth to the Halls of Knowledge and Magic.
As new life came forth from the chaos, the Masters reached out and contracted others to
assist them in their task. Thus the great Guilds came into being. The Masters wish to
grant their blessing and knowledge that all creatures who pass through the gateways into
the Misty Realms are encouraged to gain knowledge by sharing their creative work and
providing constructive feedback on the works brought forth by others. The elder members
of the Misty Realms are here to offer advice and counsel to those who seek it in a
positive manner, and to encourage the growth of fellowship among our peers. Then with a
united voice the Masters of the Misty Realms declared that “we have laid down the laws
and guidelines of the Misty Realms as spoken to us by the Divine Circle. As surely as
these laws do apply for the safety of all, those of the Divine Circle wish above all
else for thee to enjoy thyself and be mindful of those around you.”
Addendum:
hese are the not-so-last words of the Sacred Spirit of the Wolf. These lands have
grown and changed greatly with the comings and goings of our members between The Misty Realms
and the chaos of the Outer Lands. The great keeper of the Northern Gateway has passed out of
all knowledge, and the keeper of the Southern Gateway has passed into the shadow world. They
have great deeds upon them, and all who set eyes upon them in the future should indeed count
themselves blessed. The guardian of the Western Gateway has entered into new lands, but if
you look hard enough, oft times you can catch a glimpse of her lurking in the shadows and
keeping watch over the Misty Realms. The guardian of the Eastern Gateway has kindled the fire
within her soul and has become a true spirit of the wolf. Her trails are now elusive. She
walks here and there, never anyplace for long. Yet, if you look hard enough, you will see
that her spirit still resides within these lands, as do the spirits of all the guardians.
Thus came forth the Lady Tinúviel and beside her the Lord Aiki...and the Divine Circle
was complete once more.

Thus ends Thy Book of Servants.
